Rosa back to Tuesday evenings for Body Control Pilates Method.
I am back to teaching the Tuesday evening Pilates classes again in Balham Library, which I am really looking forward to.
I teach Body Control Pilates Method and am a Supervising teacher for Body Control Pilates students to help them pass their exams to become teachers themselves. So having students in the class really helps give clients extra attention and also helps me strive to provide the best classes I can and be the best example for clients and students.
Providing flowing movement in classes I think is essential for the enjoyment of the class and also the relaxation element of Pilates. This is provided whether you are doing a beginner Pilates class or mixed ability/advanced class.
Below is a little bit of information about what Body Control Pilates Method is.
Body control Pilates method: why it is one of the best.
It is Europe’s leading Pilates Method. You know if someone is a Body control Pilates teacher they have had one of the best training that you can have, which is important when there are so many different Pilates styles out there. So below is a little information about what we achieve in class. (Our summer Pilates courses start from 24th April – 20th July. Come join us and feel fit and fantastic for summer.)
Body Control Pilates
offers a comprehensive programme of exercises for both mat and
machine work. They are adapted from the ‘classical’ exercises developed by
Joseph Pilates. We believe that many of these classical exercises are often not
suitable for the average person and the average body. In order for someone to
work safely and effectively and to gain the full benefits of Pilates, these
classical exercises should be broken down to establish good movement skills
thus building the best possible foundation upon which to progress towards the
classical, more advanced work. This is the essence of the Body Control Pilates
Method.
Body Control Pilates
is remarkably effective – and medically approved. It is of a holistic nature,
being based upon a well-constructed philosophical foundation. Central to the
Method is ‘awareness of your own body’ and each and every exercise is built
around its eight basic principles:
Relaxation | Concentration |
Co-ordination | Centring |
Alignment | Breathing |
Stamina | Flowing Movements |
By working on the deep architectural structure of the body, ‘core stability’ is
achieved, and then maintained, through increasingly complex movement sequences.
Specific problem-areas can be targeted by an exercise, but always in relation
to the rest of one’s body.
Bringing together mind
and body – Body Control Pilates literally teaches you to be in control of your
body, allowing you to handle stress more effectively and achieve relaxation
more easily, heightens your body awareness.
Our Pilates classes in Clapham, Balham, Streatham and Battersea means that we run 17 classes weekly, as well as home sessions and small group classes for clients in their homes.
